Bring your new pet can be an exciting but also anxious time if you are inexperienced with edited dwarf Hamster. Fortunately, caring for dwarf hamsters is not difficult when you take the time to learn what is needed. Using all available resources and make good search is important. Here are some basic tips to get started.
One of the decisions to make first and most important is the type of accommodation or cage for your Hamster. There are wire cages, crates, plastic and glass aquaria that can be used to contain your dwarf Hamster. You can also use a mouse cage. If you have a Chinese dwarf hamster, don't use a cage of wire as you can squeeze through the wires.
More expensive types of cages have wheels and numerous tubes that are great for your Hamster. These cost a bit more so if it is not convenient, you can provide toys separately.
Hamsters like to burrow tunnels and so a hamster care nano is providing their toys to play with. Each should have a hamster wheel, but you can also insert tubes paper towel or toilet paper tubes on top of bedding and your Hamster will be thrilled. Also add items with interesting shapes that you can hide behind.
No matter what type of cage or decide on how you decorate the new "cushion" of your hamster, the most important thing is to make sure it is kept clean. This includes changing the bedding out three to four times per month, cleaning inside the cage with a very sensitive and the cage every day as well. Daily cleaning should include digging excrement, removing old food and getting rid of soiled areas of bed linen.
The next important part of the cure of dwarf Hamster is the diet and water. Hamster food is available in most pet shops, but you must also provide a few pieces of fresh fruits and vegetables like broccoli, leafy greens, carrots and apples. There is nothing quite as cute as seeing a hamster stuff his cheeks of food to set aside for snacks on later. That's why the older food control in the cage is so important. Don't let your Hamster snack on anything that has ruined.
Water that is changed every day should also be provided. Use an inverted bottle that is placed so that your hamster can reach the dispenser. Even if the bottle is still water in it, you should still change every day.
Something else that you can offer your Hamster is pieces of dog biscuit. This is important to their instinct to chew help keep their teeth to Earth a bit. You can also enter a few pieces of clean, natural wood or sticks in their cage for this purpose.
Finally, the most important thing to take note of is the overall condition of your pet. If you suspect that the dwarf Hamster is sick, you should take to the vet immediately. There are some conditions (such as wet-tail) that can be deadly, but they can also be treated if caught early. Try to diarrhea, lethargy or sluggishness, agitation, opaque eyes and weight loss. Hamsters need veterinary care, just like other pets, then make sure that they get the care they need. This is probably the greatest lesson of dwarf Hamster care to take to heart immediately.
